the moon

she was in front of me,
then over my right shoulder.
then in front of me again.

i just sat down and watched her watch me.
she didn't say anything to me
and i didn't say anything to her.
we just stared at each other.
no words were required.

i drove over all of you,
i watched your reds and whites.
i had some of my own to add to the party.
